Walt Cofer, MS, CET

Walt Cofer is the Regulatory / Radiation Safety Consultant for City Labs and the president of Radiation Control, Inc., a radiation safety consulting firm based in Tallahassee, Florida that specializes in industrial radiation applications.

He started out in the private sector as an industrial radiographer/radiation safety officer, then spent 16 years as an industrial health physics specialist/regulator at the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control. In 2004, he returned to the private sector to provide radiation safety training and consulting services to government, education and commercial clients.

He has also consulted for the International Atomic Energy Agency, the National Nuclear Security Admin., and the World Institute for Nuclear Security. He is a certified industrial radiographer, certified DOT/hazmat specialist, and a certified trainer.
